PCGoM CHOIR
Our Lady of Fatima Choir Group and PCGoM formed a choir together; thus, PCGoM Choir was born.

at the Capitol, Lansing: Provided cultural dance presentation and participation of ethnic celebration.

Supported NaFFAA Excellence Awards night fundraising event and provided cultural dance presentation. Also a celebration of Filipino-American History Month. PCGoM Board of Director, Minnie Morey accepted an excellence award in Community Volunteerism presented by Remi Kuklewski in Detroit, MI.
West Michigan FilIPINO-AmERICAN AssOCIATION-WMFAA
Provided WMFAA Picnic and Christmas programs with cultural dance presentation. A special duet was presented by former WMFAA President Faith Van’tLand and PCGoM President Chit Barker, along with the PCGoM Choir who sang on the background and also rendered a few more Christmas carols. A special Christmas Hawaiian dance, one of its kind, was created by Chit Barker (a Christmas song was danced/portrayed with a Hawaiian number) and was presented at the event with dancers: Chit Barker, Minda Natulla, Kimberly MacMillan, and Jocelyn Sabin
PCGoM CO-HOSTED THE ATENEO DE MANILA COLLEGE GLEE CLUB (AMCG) PHILIPPINES with Asian Center of West Michigan to perform in Grand Rapids GVSU – Student Life GVSU Asian Student Festival: Introduced Philippine Cultural Expo and presentation of Filipino music, folk dances, and native handicraft / food.

PCGoM SUPPORTS PAKISTAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUNDRAISING
(Grand Rapids, MI, March 11, 2006). PCGoM performed the Moro Dance ensemble at the Wealthy Theater in “Celebration of Peace and Diversity Through Traditional Dance and Music” event. Proceeds from this event were used for the Pakistan Earthquake Relief.

In collaboration with the partnership of Asian Health Outreach Foundation-AHOF and St. Mary Magdalen Church in 2007, PCGoM started to volunteer to teach Tagalog class that year and continues its participation for 2008 Class.
PCGoM was invited to pesent a Filipino cultural dance at the ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH , AT THE CAPITOL Lansing, MI (May 2007) with Michael G. Sak, Michigan House of Representatives, acknowledging the presence of Filipino cultural participation.
ASIAN CENTER’S AMAZING ASIAN AWARDS
PCGoM supported its annual fundraising event and provided cultural dance
presentation. In 2007, PCGoM assisted in the selection process of AA awardees. This annual event is held to recognize the dedication and commitment of individuals to improve the quality of life of the Asian community in West Michigan.
PCGOM PARTICIPATES with ASIAN CENTER and GRAND RAPIDS AREA CENTER FOR ECUMENISM (GRACE) Hunger Walk 2007 GRACE has recently funded the Asian Center’s new Community Food Program which provides temporary food assistance to the Asian and Pacific Islander community in Kent County.
PCGoM attends the Ethnic Midnight Mass at St. Mary Magdalen with
Vietnamese group to sing Christmas songs together.
PHILIPPINE EXPO held at St. Mary Magdalen open to all Asians and all other interested business groups and exhibitors.
U.S. VETERANS CHRISTMAS EVENT, SMM
PCGoM participated in singing Christmas songs and provided snacks and food, both at the Veterans home and at St. Mary Magdalen church.
ETHNIC HERITAGE FESTIVAL AT THE PUBLIC MUSEUM. PCGoM performed Filipino music, folk dances and showcase of Filipino ethnic fashion (FILIPINIANA) and some Filipino handicrafts and other
products. A bulletin board was created to show pictures of Philippine history, culture and traditions.
PCGoM attends The Evergreen Club Senior Luncheon
PCGoM invited Filipino-Americans, 55 years old and above, to attend this initial luncheon in conjunction with the Asian Center’s establishment of The Evergreen Club, a monthly meeting bringing the elderly together for mutual aid and support. This is an opportunity to bring speakers in, Allied Health Professionals, and local community members who can offer their helping hands, in the hope to serve our elderly in giving them support, as well as their family members.
